Dust Collector Filter Bags
Industrial Filtration, Inc. has been manufacturing replacement dust collector filter bags since 1956. We manufacture standard filters as well as custom.
The very best way to guarantee a perfect fit is to send us a sample of a your used or spare filter.
If this option is not available, you can remove a properly functioning bag from the collector and measure it yourself using the 3 steps below.

Step 1 – Filter Media
Choosing the correct filter media is an important but sometimes a difficult process. Industrial Filtration, Inc. stocks a wide variety of materials such as:
- Polyester Felt (16 oz , 12 oz , 9 oz)
- Polyester Sateen
- Cotton Sateen
- Polypropylene Felt
- Nomex Felt (Aramid)
- Dacron
- Cotton Flannel
- PTFE
- Epitropic Felt (Antistatic)
Step 2 – Filter Measurements
. There are 3 ways to measure a filter bag.
- Flat Width: Place the filter on a flat surface such as a large table or floor. With the filter stretched out, press down on each side. Use a measure tape starting at the 10″ mark to accurately record the width.
- Diameter: Make sure hole in the tube sheet you are measuring is not damaged or warped. Clean the surface thoroughly before using a caliper to measure the hole.
- Length: For this step, it is best to use the assistance of another person. Stretch out the filter while keeping the bag taut. For bags with grommets, record the length to the center of the grommet. Do not include straps, metal caps, or other hanging hardware.
Step 3 – Top & Bottom Construction
Examples of Top & Bottom Constructions
Additional Options
- Ground Wire (Copper or Stainless Steel)
- Extended Top
- Extended Bottom
- Extended Top and Bottom
- Wear Cuff – usually located at the bottom of the bag and used for extra abrasion protection from “bag to bag” wear or “cage to bag” wear.
