Filter Discs for Horizontal Disc Filter Systems

Horizontal disc filters stack round media discs on a center column, and the discs have to match both the housing and the job. This page lists 49 discs in three groups: Mefiag (36), Sparkler (7) and Niagra (6).

The Mefiag horizontal discs are listed by part number and media. Paper comes in 10 and 50 micron. Carbon is 10 micron. Woven polypropylene cloth is 10 micron. Non-woven polypropylene felt comes in 5, 10, 25 and 50 micron, and there is a 10 micron polyester felt. Typical numbers are 005651 (10 micron paper), 005942 (5 micron polypropylene felt) and 006328 (10 micron polyester felt). The other discs are listed by outside diameter, center hole and micron rating. Diameters include 13-3/4″, 18-3/8″, 19-7/16″ and 35-3/8″. Center holes are 1-5/8″, 2″, 3″ or none, and ratings run from 1.5 to 27 micron.
