Combination flame proof and explosion proof (Ex d) diecast aluminium enclosure housing 5 pilot valves, for piloting Goyen diaphragm valves in hazardous areas. Approved for NEC500 Division 1, NEC505 Zone 1 and NEC506 Zone 21 environments. Coil voltage 220/240 V AC 50/60 Hz, 1/8" NPT pilot thread and 3/4" NPT conduit entry. Fitted with a 100/120 v ac anti-condensation heater, which drops the CSA temperature code to T2C and requires cable rated at 135°C. The e-coated finish carries an electrostatic hazard warning – clean only with a damp cloth.

Using one enclosure in place of individually enclosed pilots simplifies the assembly design and keeps every pilot behind a single certified cover. Recommended on time is 50 – 150 ms with at least 1 minute between pulses when the maximum on time is used.

Warning: open circuit and allow 5 minutes after the heater is de-energised before removing the cover. More than one live circuit may be present – keep the cover tightly closed in operation. Modifications such as fitting additional seals, adding or removing pilot valves or coils, or changing markings will invalidate the product certification.
