Diecast aluminium venturi nozzle assembly that clamps onto a 1.5" Schedule 40 blowtube, with a short barrel. The aluminium body takes it to 400°C (752°F), well past where the plastic nozzles stop, so this is the one for hot gas streams.

A GOCO nozzle balances the flow through every hole along the blowtube and aims the pulse jet squarely into the filter, so the pressure drop through the blowtube holes stops eating the pulse. That lets the system run at an An/Ap ratio (total blowtube hole area to blowtube cross section) of up to 1.5, where a blowtube with plain drilled holes typically manages only 0.5 to 0.8 – which is the difference between using the diaphragm valve’s full pulse and wasting most of it.

Order the insert separately. The nozzle and its insert are separate part numbers – the insert is what sets the orifice size. For example, VNA25C-50 with REG-14 gives a short 1" nozzle with a 14 mm plastic insert; VNA45C-100 with AL45-BD10 gives a long 1.5" nozzle with a 10 mm aluminium insert.

Before fitting: prepare a 27 – 28 mm (1.06 – 1.10") hole in the blowtube.

Setting the nozzle height. For best performance set H, the distance from the nozzle to the filter, using H = (Ø Filter − 48) / 0.353 in mm, or H = (Ø Filter − 1.88) / 0.353 in inches.

Not for gas turbine applications. Goyen specifically excludes the GOCO nozzle range from gas turbine service.
