Strapless GOCO nozzle assembly for 2.5" Schedule 40 blowtube with a short barrel. No clamp or strap wraps the tube – the insert hooks through the blowtube hole and the nozzle screws down onto it, which is what makes this range work on the larger 2" to 4" tubes where a strap becomes unwieldy.
A GOCO nozzle balances the flow through every hole along the blowtube and aims the pulse jet squarely into the filter, so the pressure drop through the blowtube holes stops eating the pulse. That lets the system run at an An/Ap ratio (total blowtube hole area to blowtube cross section) of up to 1.5, where a blowtube with plain drilled holes typically manages only 0.5 to 0.8 – which is the difference between using the diaphragm valve’s full pulse and wasting most of it.
Supplied complete. Unlike the clamp-on aluminium nozzles, this assembly includes the nozzle, pipe adaptor, nozzle insert and lockring. Drill the insert to the orifice size your system needs before fitting.
Fitting: prepare 34.1 – 34.5 mm holes in the blowtube and deburr them. Assemble insert, pipe adaptor and lockring, screwing the insert only part way into the nozzle. Align the insert lugs along the axis of the blowtube and hook one lug into the hole, swing the second lug up and slide the pipe adaptor onto the tube, then screw the nozzle up onto the insert – hand tight is enough. Finally dent the lockring into one or both nozzle cavities to lock the assembly; to remove it later, bend the dent back out with a screwdriver blade.
Setting the nozzle height. For best performance set H, the distance from the nozzle to the filter, using H = (Ø Filter − 48) / 0.353 in mm, or H = (Ø Filter − 1.88) / 0.353 in inches.
Not for gas turbine applications. Goyen specifically excludes the GOCO nozzle range from gas turbine service.
